TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

SIS is committed to developing the skills of all employees and we have plenty of opportunities for you to learn and take on new challenges.  Like everyone else who joins us, you'll begin your career with an induction programme which will give you a briefing on the Service as well as IT training.

After that, you can look forward to a combination of on-the-job training and structured training courses leading to formally-recognised technical qualifications.  Throughout your career our appraisal process will help map your personal development needs and training at regular intervals will help you meet your goals and maximise your potential.  Not only will we offer you training in your current area of expertise, ensuring you're right up to date, we'll also actively encourage you to branch out into new areas.
