TECHNOLOGY - APPLICATION PROCESS
First, familiarise yourself with the Nationality and Security criteria. Unfortunately, no matter how good your submission is, we won't be able to accept it unless you meet these criteria. So please check.
The next stage is to apply for a technology role online. This will involve filling in a form with a large amount of personal detail.
The process after this will vary according to the role you're applying for. IT skills tests will sometimes be necessary - and everyone will be interviewed by Technology Department managers and by members of the recruitment team. Of course, these interviews will give you the chance to find out more about SIS and ask any questions you may have.
If you are successful at this stage, you will move to the final stage of recruitment, which is security and medical clearance and reference checks. This is an in-depth look into your life, including your finances. We'll also ask you to have a medical and take a drugs test. Security vetting, which we're sure you'll understand is essential in the interests of national security, takes at least three months - and the whole application six months or more.
