PERSONNEL VETTING OFFICER

THE ROLE
The main elements of the position are as follows:
Conducting in-depth interviews with potential and current members of staff, contractors, consultants and referees.
Recording and assessing information acquired and recommending whether or not security clearance should be granted.
Qualities
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in people, an ability to relate to people from all walks of life and backgrounds, an aptitude for investigative work, an ability to sift large amounts of material, to assimilate and assess information and to make sound, fair and unbiased judgements. You should also have good interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills, high standards of objectivity, discretion and integrity. Successful applicants will also need to be able to demonstrate and ability to work under pressure to short deadlines without close supervision and be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
Qualifications and Experience
You must have a driving licence valid for use in the UK.
