With experience of managing, guiding and motivating a technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the swift, efficient completion of software development projects and work packages. Your role will require involvement throughout the full life-cycle, including system support. In addition, you'll utilise your knowledge of PRINCE2 (or a similar project management methodology) in everything you do.
The role isn't about developing software yourself - it's about using your technical background to inspire, guide and manage a team to complete work packages on time and within budget. From optimising internal resources, to working with industry partners, it's a varied post that requires initiative and an exceptional level of management and communication skills.
Whether you're involved in initiatives that improve communications throughout the organisation, or evolve the way we analyse data, your role will be vital in continually improving our IT.
