TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

SIS is committed to developing the skills of all employees and we have plenty of opportunities for you to learn and take on new challenges.  Like everyone else who joins us you'll begin your career with an induction programme which will brief you on the Service and provide IT training.  After that, our appraisal process will help map your personal development needs throughout your career. Rest assured, we'll give you training at regular intervals as required to help meet those needs and maximise your potential (in some cases, this may include acquiring professional qualifications).

It's important to us that everyone is highly deployable, so we'll actively encourage you to train and learn new skills where necessary. As you may be working in partnership with any department in the Service, the experience you'll build will be very varied.
