Software Development Support Engineers
£26,661 - £32,406 plus skills allowance if applicable.

This is a role operating in a unique environment, the Secret Intelligence Service (or MI6 as you may know us). You'll be providing third line support, integration, configuration and documentation for bespoke and commercial software. To join us, you'll need a 2:1 in Computer Science, or a related degree, as well as working experience of developing and supporting systems that use technologies such as JAVA, ORACLE, SQL, C++, messaging protocols and MS Exchange Server. Thanks to your eagerness to learn and your problem solving ability, you'll prove an invaluable member of the team.
You'll be using your IT skills and experience to support an organisation that protects the security of the UK and tackles a range of challenging issues from terrorism to weapons proliferation. In this role, you'll have the chance to learn from experienced project teams as well as enjoying real variety in your caseload. You could be working on anything from global communications to data analysis or desktop management systems. In short, your work will have a real impact across the organisation.
