JEE Systems Developers

£34,323 - £46,632 plus skills allowance if applicable.

Based in London

The Secret Intelligence Service (or MI6 as you may know us) need JEE Systems Developers with good experience who are looking for the next step up.  This role will give you the chance to lead the technical work on a bespoke enterprise level Java application.

We're looking for skills in a wide range of areas, so you'll need sound experience in some of the following: JEE/Java, EJB3, JMS, SOAP, RUP, Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, STRUTS2, OO/JEE Design Patterns, application servers and databases.

Not only will you be fully involved in the continuing design, development, configuration, documentation, integration and support of this large strategic system, but you'll also provide technical advice and leadership.  So, ideally, you'll bring skills in information and systems architecture alongside proven expertise in a range of JEE and related technologies.  Equally important will be the strong teamworking and communications skills you'll display.

By joining us you'll be using your IT skills to support an organisation that protects the security of the UK and tackles a range of challenging issues from terrorism to weapons proliferation.  This role will offer you the chance to develop your skills - and your career - in a unique environment, learning from a highly experienced internal team including a range of specialist contractors.

Please note, we only accept applications from British citizens.

You should not discuss your application with anyone.

Closing date for applications is 9th April 2010.
